What this study is about
Researchers are testing a new treatment to see how it affects the brain, stomach, and autonomic nervous system. The trial will use noninvasive nerve stimulation called transcutaneous electro-accupoint stimulation (TEAS) on healthy adults. Participants will have their brain activity monitored using fMRI scans.
Simplified from trial records by PatientMatch.
What you may be asked to do
- 1.Use active TEAS
Participation Burden
What's physically and logistically required of participants.
Requires travel to a study site
How treatment is administered
You may get a placebo/standard care, and you won't know which.
Extracted study details
Pulled from the trial record to show what is being tested and what the study is measuring.
Primary: Brain activity during functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), Stomach activity during gastric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
